Barcode Artwork Test
We have a new service where we can test your barcode artwork, to give you an idea of whether it will scan well.
This is not an official Barcode Verification Report (which costs $59) as required by some Supermarket and Hardware chains. But is is a test using the same equipment and giving the same information.
This test will be done on your artwork – so you can have more confidence about the quality of the barcode before you go to print – or it will tell you what problems there are with the barcode artwork.
To do this test, please purchase the quantity you require ($20 each), and then email a pdf of the barcode artwork to us. The pdf must be A4 or smaller in size, and 100%. We will print it on a laser printer in B&W (so it won’t test any other print colours) and test it, then email the report to you.
You can view some sample reports below. Grades vary from A (excellent) to C (OK) to D & below which are fails.

Custom QR codes
Standard QR codes, although easily recognisable, can be an ugly part of product labelling or your design. We can make your QR code with colour and logos to better match your brand image.
If you have a good designer, they can modify the QR codes for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes they can inadvertently damage the actual QR code so that it won’t scan.
We have dedicated designers that can provide custom QR code designs for you.
This product includes;
- a static or dynamic QR code (see below for the difference between static and dynamic)
- QR code images design in 4 formats (SVG, eps, pdf and png)
In the comments box on the checkout page, tell us about your company’s brand and how you will be using the QR code. Let us know the colours you want. Please email us your logo as a png or jpeg file. Then our designers can create a custom QR code for you.
Any extra design time is charged at 15 USD per hour.
This example shows the same QR code in original and customised versions.
There are limits to the changes we can make to a QR code as the overriding aim is to maintain its ability to be scanned. We can introduce two colours (with gradients), add a custom logo to the centre and alter the QR code’s foreground elements.

Static and Dynamic
STATIC QR Codes
Static QR codes encode your URL directly in the QR code. They are permanent. They will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change. They can’t be changed, as the URL is encoded directly in the QR Code. They have unlimited scans. Static QR codes can also be used for things other than URLs, e.g. encoding text, v business cards, and sending email or SMS messages.DYNAMIC QR Codes
These use our Dynamic QR Code service, which enables the target URL to be changed repeatedly in the future if required.Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems such as crashed servers.
Functions for life: The Dynamic QR Code, with its redirection capability, will function FREE for two years and will continue to function thereafter for as long as you pay a two yearly fee of $20.
Unlimited redirection of the target URL: You can redirect the target URL as often as you wish via our customer portal.
Custom Tracking Reports: You can pay us for TRACKING REPORTS with prices depending on frequency, the complexity of reports, and how many QR Codes are being tracked – please enquire for details.

ITF-14 Barcode images
Here you can purchase ITF-14 images. These will be emailed through to your in a standard size with 4 different formats (.jpg, .pdf, .png, .svg) once the order has been received.
Please specify in the ‘additional information’ section what EAN-13 barcode you need the ITF-14 created from – up to 10 ITF-14 Images can be created from each EAN-13 code).
If you are purchasing an EAN-13 barcode at the same time as an ITF-14 barcode, then just type “n/a” into the ‘additional information’ section (we will assign an EAN-13 barcode to you, and then use that barcode to create the ITF-14 carton code images).

QR Code Images
This service is automated so that you will receive your QR code images in minutes. To do this, we need the URL or other information you wish encoded into the QR code. If you don’t supply this, the automation cannot make the QR code.
Decide how many QR codes you need, add that quantity to your cart. Then at the checkout page, enter the data or URL you want to be encoded into the “additional information” box on the checkout page, with separate URLs on separate lines. Standard QR codes (Static and Dynamic) are made automatically and emailed to you within minutes. More complex QR codes such as v-business cards must be made manually and take 1-12 hours.
The QR code images will be sent to you in 5 formats .tif, .bmp, .jpg, .pdf & .eps formats.
